Our latest Artistic Creation

What an exciting evening we had yesterday, painting Diana Putnam's graceful Queen Anne's Lace design, each with our own interpretation.  There is another opportunity for you to paint this design next Friday, Aug 26. But you need to register by this friday!  Plan to join us.

I had to add my own little white butterfly.

Tom Preddy's Latest Completed Painting

Tom enjoys his painting, and mostly creating memory provoking landscapes of the country side around his home. His latest painting was inspired by a breathtaking evening sunset photograph he had taken.

If you would like to have a personalized landscape, we have a Paint your own landscape class coming up the last of Aug. Plan ahead to give yourself time to bring your own photograph to me to discuss plans for your design, color choices, and prep.  This will be the third time recently that our students have requested this class.

Now enjoy creating,
Liz

Painting The Sailboat In The Window

This week we have spent 2 pleasant days painting my ship in the window design. This was the painting that was on the cover of the Decorative Painter, Summer 2009.
Lot's of time for painting, catching up on the latest news, having a meal together, and more painting.

See more photos of our workshop on the Student's Paintings page.

Completed!

Our fall schedule has developed with some exciting painting to come.  We have a still life, another create your own landscape, a wonderfully loose old world patio design, one of Ros' new fruit designs that she taught during this year's seminar, and even a Christmas ornament as well as Jo Sonja's Santa with Reindeer.  Our workshops are by request and are some of our most popular designs, Jo Sonja's Potting Shed in Sept and my Ship in the Window this month.  For more exciting details check out the class page and plan your fall painting.

The Decorative Painter magazine is at the printers and will be in our mail boxes very soon.  You can log onto the SDP site right now to see the on line version and my newest article, Carolina Leaves  on page 44.
