Vacation

I'll be on vacation from classes for the next two weeks. This will give me time to catch up on painting some class samples and take some time off. Classes start again on Aug 11. I'll be in the studio on Aug 10 if you need to register for a class or get prep and supplies.

Please notice that you have the option to pay for classes through PayPal on the class page and the seminars page. You don't need to have a PayPal account, you can just use your credit card.

We have two exciting workshops planned for Aug 12 and Aug 19, 10a - 4p!

Aug 12, Flowered Stairway is a beautiful Connie Parkinson stairway scene. We'll paint a small version that can be finished in our 10a - 4p class.
No prep required. I'll furnish paints.

Aug 19, Ornaments Workshop. We'll paint Rebecca Baer's beautiful Shimmering Berries while exploring fun different products, and paint Chirs Haughey's whimsical Key Ornaments with delightful Santas and Snowmen.
Look for old keys. A good excuse to check out the flea market. I'll check for a source.

On Wed evening, Aug 12 - 26 we'll paint Ronnie Bringle's Goldfinch and Thistle. A wonderfully decorative design.


On Aug 11, in Cary, we'll start Mary Giblisco's Sunflower in Crock design. This is a teriffic Trompte Loi painting.

As soon as I finish the samples I'll post photos.

Ros Stallcup Seminar 2009

We've just finished our seminar with Ros Stallcup and we had a wonderful time painting with her again. I was very impressed with all the great paintings our participants created this year. They all had some terrific paintings to take home. You can see photos of our week painting with Ros on our seminars page.

We have some wonderful ideas for next July so be sure to watch for more information.

August - October Classes

We've been working on our new class schedule and I'm excited about painting our upcoming projects. As soon as I am able to complete a project I'll post the photo on the class page. Please check back frequently.

Upcoming projects include rabbits, manger animals, goldfinches, a barnyard rooster Santa, a Paris Cafe, Tuscan-ish entry stairs scene, Ginger's Grapes on wall paper, and a beach scene. You can see that we have quite a variety. We'll even paint a little for the holidays with Mrs Santa and ornaments.

We'll have a couple of weeks break after our seminar with Ros. Yeah! Classes will resume the week of Aug 11 & 12 with some special classes. In August when we return from break, we have 2 workshops planned for Wednesdays, 10a - 4p. The first is the Flowered Stairway by Connie Parkinson, a wonderful scene with pots of flowers along a stairway. We'll paint a small version to make sure we can complete it in one day.

The second week workshop is ornaments with a beautiful Rebecca Baer berry design and some delightful Chris Haughey designed Santa and Snowmen Key ornaments. Both promise to be lots of fun to play with different and varied techniques and products. Be sure to join us.

Then we are back to our regular schedule for the fall.

I'm still working on our Friday and Saturday workshops so stay in touch.
