Leaf Study

Painting Realistic Leaves
May 18, 2007 Friday 10a-4p
With Liz Miller CDA

There is much satisfaction to be gained from painting a beautiful, graceful flower. There are so many varieties and colors. And, each flower is different. If you're painting flowers, you'll want to paint beautiful leaves. Actually many flower petals or what we call petals, are really leaves and even more flower petals are painted similar to leaves. So it's very important to learn how to paint realistic leaves. In this class, we'll learn to paint generic leaves; however, all of this leaf theory applies to most leaves.

The focus will be to understand how to paint realistic appearing leaves rather that painting a specific project. We'll paint on mat board that you can keep for reference.
