Last weekend some members of the Carolina Mixed Media Art Guild met at our studio to create cards to send to the soldiers over seas for them to send back to their loved ones. I hope the soldiers enjoy the card because we certainly did enjoy make them. Our brave leader, Lucy, brought boxes of stamping supplies with several types of inks and some beautiful stamps, then proceeded to show us stamping novices how to use them to created exciting stamped designs. Our over all favorite technique was smushing and stamping with the chalk inks. What fun. Lucy was a wealth of information about inks and stamping techniques. I am now much wiser regarding stamping.
